Transportation Weddings

This is a cake we did last weekend.  It’s for a couple who met at a cocktail party aboard a cruise ship and wanted us to create their wedding cake to celebrate this meeting.  Instead of a gown and tux we dressed the couple in cruise ship appropriate casual wear, holding drinks of course. Below… Read more »

Creepy Cakes

Lately, we’ve had our share of creepy cakes.  We really enjoy creating the super-elegant wedding designs but it’s a good break to occasionally create something that doesn’t have to be perfect.   It may not look appetizing but it sure does taste good.  All of these cakes were red velvet cake with vanilla buttercream filling… Read more »

Spooky Treats

Happy Fall!  We’ve created a couple dummy cakes (fondant decorated styrofoam) to get into the fall/halloween spirit.  These pumpkins and their mice are living in our shop’s windows.  Pass by at night and you’ll see the jack ‘o lanterns flicker. Mice figurines are all made of sugar. These trick-or-treat monsters are super fun.  The birthday… Read more »

Just for fun -Cake Box Info-graph

Last weekend Tyler got yelled at by a customer because his cake was just too large to safely put into a box.  Rather than blow up at the guy Tyler channeled his anger into this hilarious, if not somewhat passive-aggressive, info-graphic.  We love our customers, but yelling at us, after we just spent 5 hours… Read more »

Zorro The Dog

Our used-to-be-intern, now awesome new decorator, Julie just got married.  Because their dog could not accompany them on their cruise wedding we made this cake for their rehearsal dinner.  Their german shepherd, named Zorro, goes to work with her husband as a bomb-sniffing dog.  It was such an honor to create this cake for Julie… Read more »
