Latest wedding cake design: I had been wanting to do a warm neutral color palette for a cake for a while.  The embroidered fondant flower appliqués were inspired by a lovely dress I came across in a magazine, see below.

Below is the magazine page that served as inspiration for the cake.  I had wanted to do some gold sponge painting but wanted it to be different than the usual designs I had seen.  So I used a similar technique with a swirly flower foam stamp I had and after a few trial and error practice runs on scrap fondant this is what I came up with.
