Sweetly Ever After
June 3rd, 2010We recently delivered a very special wedding cake to Saratoga Springs NY. This particular couple has a unique background of always living near an ice cream shop. Going down the street to get an ice cream cone has always been an experience they’ve shared and thus wanted their wedding cake to reflect this tradition.
We created an ice cream parlor scene on a topsy-turvy cake. On the bottom tier parlor stools surround windows full of sweet treats and and topped with an awning on the second tier. On the awning we added a custom sign as if the parlor was named after them. Per request of the couple we even created custom gumpaste figurines of the bride and groom enjoying ice cream cones together.
Here is a close-up of the custom, sugar figurines with larger-than-life double scoops.

Fabulous!!
You take it from here:
What do you think? Good? Bad? Ugly? Did we miss something? Something on your mind? Does that photo of a cheesecake remind you of that hamster you had when you were six? You know, the one who got out of his cage and scared your Grandma durring Thanksgiving dinner? Well, whatever it is, you know we'd love to hear it!
